I started my Job in Brandon where I live now   and I work at Mahana Fresh.  It was my first job that I have ever gotten in my whole life. I started at the end of February it was so simple they had a Now hiring paper outside of their door and i got an application form, filled it out, my manager went over it, we went over the rules, she took me around the back of the restaurant where employees are only allowed in, showed me  the bathrooms, she showed me behind where the employees handle the food for the customers on the line.Behind the glass window is the food that they store in the food containers. Also the cooks at the back of the house put food in customers bowls in the window if they need more food or anything they give a shout out to the cooks in the back. I Love the layout and the designs of the restaurant, they have great seating arrangements that make eating there enjoyable, also I love the spot where they have “let’s hang out” with two comfortable couch chairs, and a palm tree in the spot. The  wallpaper is very nice and I think it is aesthetically pleasing and tropical. 

I work there after church from 12:30pm-3:00 I clock in I  check the bathrooms, check the floor, check if there  is toilet paper, all trash cans, table, I  sweep the floor, mop, wash dishes, clean the table and chairs. 

Everyone at my job has to use an app called 7shifts to communicate,  announcements are made to us if it’s something we need to know or important,  you can also offer up your shift in the shift  pool and anyone can grab your shift if your unavailable,  you also can request time off, it also shows who i am working with, you can see other  people’s  time schedules, also we can do group messages, and we can see all the people we work with. 

In conclusion, I love working at Mahana, eating their food, I love their drinks, desserts,  the people I work with, the application process was so easy, simple, and quick  I am so glad they had their doors open for me and acknowledged me and took me in when I tried to apply to other restaurants that  didn’t even take me, and now i know that Mahana Fresh  is the job for me. I love my job and now I know what a real job is like and having to work hard. Because my hard work pays off!!
